TORHILD ROSSUM

Torhild Rossum is a lawyer, business economist and mediator with more than 30 years of international experience as a lawyer working in Norway, Canada, and The Netherlands. She has a broad experience in the energy industry from the Royal Dutch Shell Group and served 20 years as the General Counsel for the Norwegian branch, AS Norske Shell. Her practice areas cover all aspects of the oil and gas industry, both upsteam and downstream. She has worked as a senior advisor in the Norwegian Development Agency (Norad) on several international development projects and worked on capacity building, both in terms of institutional development and regulatory framework. Torhild was also the Deputy chairman in the Offshore Norway legal committee which reviewed governmental regulatory proposals for the petroleum industry.
Torhild holds a Cand. Jur from the University of Oslo, Faculty of Law (1984), is qualified to practice law in Norway and member of the Norwegian Bar Association. She is a certified mediator and holds a degree in Business Economy from the Norwegian Business School (BI).
