IOM Law is a Norwegian law firm specialized in carbon capture and storage “CCS”, carbon capture utilization “CCU”, carbon capture, utilization and storage “CCUS”, as well as negative emissions technologies. The firm was founded in early 2017 and has seven employees, located in Son (Norway), Copenhagen (Denmark) and Tasmania (Australia). Collectively, the employees of IOM Law have extensive experience with a wide range of projects, covering legal, regulatory, policy and commercial aspects. The team has extensive experience within project management and business development.
Since its inception, the firm has been engaged in important European, American and Asian-Pacific CCS/CCU/CCUS projects, and worked with negative emissions technologies, public international law and climate change policies as well as international environmental law and natural resource law.
The team provides assistance to both private and public stakeholders. Our vision is to provide assistance in the development of a sustainable industry and emission reduction technologies globally, as deployment and commercialization of such technologies are crucial to meet one of the biggest challenges of our time; climate change.
