IOM Law is an Oslo-based law firm specialized in carbon capture and storage “CCS”, carbon capture utilization “CCU”, carbon capture, utilization and storage “CCUS”, as well as negative emissions technologies. The firm was founded in early 2017 and has three employees, one of whom is located in Tasmania, Australia. Collectively, the employees of IOM Law have extensive experience with a wide range of projects, covering legal, regulatory, policy and commercial aspects. The team further has extensive experience within project management and business development.
The firm has since its start been engaged in important European, American and Asian-Pacific CCS/CCU/CCUS projects, and has further done extensive work on negative emissions technologies, general public international law and climate change policies as well as international environmental law and natural resource law.
The team has provided assistance both to private and public stakeholders. Our vision is to continue providing assistance in the development of a sustainable industry and emission reduction technologies globally, as deployment and commercialization of such technologies are crucial to one of the biggest challenges of our time; climate change.
